Trio of Softball Stars Earn Lone Star Conference Honors

RICHARDSON, Texas – The Lone Star Conference on Wednesday announced the 2021 All-Conference teams and St. Mary's three players honored on the five teams.

Senior Alex McLennan (Austin, Texas) was named to the All-Academic squad, while Elgin, Texas juniors Jayme Johns and Victoria Aldridge were named to the second and third teams, respectively.

McLennan, a senior biomedical engineering major, led the Rattlers with a 10-7 record and a 2.81 earned run average. In her last eight regular season appearances she allowed only one earned run.

Johns, a junior second baseman earned second-team all-conference honors after hitting .392 on the year. She had the team's longest reached base streak at 20 games and led the club with 47 hits.

Aldridge was named to the all-league third team after reaching base in each of the team's final 18 games of the season. The left fielder hit a team-best .398, playing in 28 of the 40 contests. She was also a perfect 6-for-6 in stolen bases.
