RICHARDSON, Texas – The St. Mary's Men's Soccer team was well-represented on the spring Men's Soccer All-Conference teams as the league made the announcement on Thursday.
The Rattlers had seven all-conference honorees and one all-freshman honoree.
Liam Morrison headlined the awards with a first team selection to go along with his Defensive Player of the Year honor. The senior started all nine matches for the Rattlers and helped anchor a defense that allowed just seven goals. Morrison also scored two goals and recorded an assist.
Joining Morrison on the first team, were senior
Alain Peralt and juniors
Deni Cresto and
Alonso Rodriguez.
Other selections included
Tony Andoyan,
Lewis Wilson, and
Cian Foley, who all earned a third team nod. Freshman
Morgan Miller was named to the all-freshman team.
Cresto also earned a spot on the all-academic squad. To be eligible for LSC academic honors, student-athletes must have played in at least 50 percent of team's contests, reached sophomore athletic and academic standing, completed at least one full academic year at the nominating institution and have a minimum 3.30 cumulative grade point average based on the 4.0 system for their entire collegiate career.
Overall, 47 student-athletes were recognized with all-conference honors. The all-conference team and individual awards are selected by the head coaches in the LSC.
