SAN ANGELO, Texas - The St. Mary's Women's Soccer team saw its season come to an end on Tuesday night as the Rattlers battled but fell just short against the No. 10 ranked Angelo State Rambelles. The Rattlers fell 1-0, their second one-goal loss to the nationally-ranked Rambelles in the last three weeks.
The St. Mary's attack had trouble finding scoring opportunities with just three total shots, and only one on goal.
Cameron Koerner was solid all night, making three saves in the first half to keep it a scoreless match. Koerner finished with five saves on the night, holding the leagues second-highest scoring team to just one goal.
St. Mary's lone scoring opportunity came in the 49th minute when
Kylie Von Holle fired a shot on goal but the Rambelles keeper turned her away.
The Rattlers finish the season with a 5-6-0 overall mark.
