SAN ANTONIO – The St. Mary's Baseball team left the bases loaded in three of the nine innings, dropping a 10-1 decision to rival St. Edward's on Friday evening.
The Rattlers (9-10, 7-9 Lone Star Conference) stranded a season-high 16 runners on the base paths, tying for the second-highest total in school history. The team also committed four errors as the Hilltoppers (5-8, 5-8 Lone Star) won their sixth-consecutive game against StMU.
The 16 left on base is only one shy of the school record, and ties for the second-most with games against Eastern New Mexico (3/18/2002) and at Oklahoma Panhandle State (3/2/2007).
