THE RECAP
With a possible playoff berth on the line, the Rattlers came out determined and motivated in the contest at Lubbock Christian, leading to the 1-0 victory. It was a back-and-forth game throughout its entirety, with both defenses playing very well. Neither team had a goal in the first half, but each team had two shots on goal.
The second half had more shots by each team, but strong performances by each goalkeeper kept the game scoreless until the 84th minute.
Juni Ejere received a pass from
Megan Copeland, and she took the ball one-on-one with the defender, outran her and was face to face with the goalkeeper, and as she ran up to the middle of the box to make the save, Ejere pushed it right by the goalkeepers effort and the ball rolled in for the 1-0 lead.
Lubbock Christian had two chances on goal in the final ten minutes, but
Rebecca Difronzo saved one, and the other bounced off the crossbar.
The Rattlers finish their regular season at 9-6-2 overall, and 7-4-2 in conference play.

HEAD COACH KEVIN DRIGGS ON SATURDAY'S GAME
"Super proud of this team. It was a play-in game and to win on the road is huge for us. Knowing that a tie would do us no good, we scored late and showed we were not ready for our season to end."
