THE RECAP
The St. Mary's Rattlers dropped their second straight game to open the 2021-2022 season, 66-58, to Regis. While it was a close game throughout, the Rangers initially jumped out to a big lead and eventually salted the game away with free throw late to down the Rattlers by an eight-point margin. The Rangers dropped in ten free throws in the final two and a half minutes to end the Rattlers' comeback attempt.
Hannah Wilson led the Rattlers offensively with 18 points. Wilson went 9-18 from the floor in 36 minutes of action. The senior also contributed 13 total rebounds to secure her first double-double of the season.
Freshman Faith Phillips poured in 12 points of her own in 20 minutes. Phillips hit from deep on both of her attempts and was 5 of 9 from the floor.
While the Rattlers improved their turnover total from a night ago, StMU still lost the battle 14-8 against the Rangers. They also only came up with nine second chance points in the loss.
THREE THINGS TO KNOW
- The Rattlers were 5 of 15 from behind the arc while the Rangers were 6 for 21.
- The difference in the game might have been points off of turnovers. The Rattlers only managed 11 while Regis accounted for 19.
- While it was a close game, Regis led for the vast majority of the contest.

The Rattlers head to Lubbock to play in the Lady Chap Invitational. They will take on Southern Nazarene on November 19th at 2 p.m.
