SAN ANTONIO – The St. Mary's Volleyball team's regular season ended the same way it began, with a win over Lubbock Christian – however on Saturday it was in a sweep, 25-18, 25-14, 25-17.
The senior celebration before the star of the match seemed to fire up the Rattlers (14-10, 8-9 Lone Star Conference), who had only six unforced hitting errors in the entire match. The team also did not get aced on the day in 50 attempts by the Lady Chaps (19-7, 14-3 Lone Star).

Gabi Sandoval (San Antonio) led a trio of Rattlers in double digits with 14 digs. Tolbert and freshman setter
Cali Nims (Corpus Christi, Texas) each chipped in 11. Nims also tied her career-high with four aces. Senior middle blocker
Julia Deais led the team with three blocks and she posted six kills on 14 swings with no errors for a .429 hitting percentage to lead the match.
Nims recorded her third-straight double-double and sixth of the season, adding 21 assists to her 11 digs, while Tolbert posted her 19th of the year and 44th of her career.
The Rattlers await the remainder of the matches in the Lone Star to find out their seeding for the conference tournament. The bracket will be announced Saturday evening.
INDIVIDUAL PLAYER & TEAM NOTES
- StMU will play in its first Lone Star Conference Tournament, which begins Tuesday, Nov. 16.
- For the first time all season, the Rattlers did not have any reception errors in a match.
- Both Alissa Tolbert and Cali Nims posted double-doubles in the match. Tolbert had her 19th of the year with 10 kills and 11 digs, while Nims recorded 21 assists and 11 digs.
- Sophomore setter Aislan Lennon (Houston) narrowly missed out on her ninth double-double of the year, tallying 14 assists and nine digs.
- The .267 hitting percentage for the Rattlers ties for the fourth-highest output of the season and is the third highest against a Lone Star opponent.
- Seniors Alissa Tolbert, Gabi Sandoval, Julia Deais and Rachel McDonald were honored prior to the match for their contributions to the program.
