TAKING THE PITCH
The St. Mary's Rattlers head to Wichita Falls for a crucial conference match against No. 7 Midwestern State. The Rattlers and Mustangs are tied for first in the Lone Star Conference standings with just a few games remaining. Both teams are undefeated through four games of conference play and are powered by electric offenses. The Mustangs only loss this season came to West Texas A&M when the Buffs were ranked #5 in the country. The Rattlers, who are on a seven game winning streak, beat WT twice in the span of two weeks.
The importance of this game can't be overstated. The winner takes a three point lead in the conference and owns an all-important tie breaker with just three games left. The regular season LSC champion will earn the right to host the four team tournament that begins in early November.
