•   St. Mary's opens the 2021 season at the Arkansas Tech Invitational, hosted at Minute Maid Park in Houston on Friday morning. It is the seventh time in eight years the Rattlers have participated in the tournament, missing only last season.
•   Head Coach
Charlie Migl begins his 35th season at the helm of the Rattlers. Migl is the Division II record holder in victories with 1,220 and ranks 10th in winning percentage amongst active coaches. All-time, he ranks fourth in wins and is just 104 shy of the record of 1,324 by Mike Metheny (Southeastern Okla., 1981-2017).
•   The Rattlers return 17 letterwinners and 10 starters off the 2020 club that was 12-10 before the season was shortened due to the pandemic.
•   St. Mary's has only four non-conference games on the 2021 slate and three will take place over the weekend as they face Arkansas Tech on Friday, Central Missouri on Saturday and Arkansas-Monticello on Sunday.

Jake Mares currently owns the St. Mary's career record for stolen base percentage at .929. Mares is 26-for-28 in his career.

Ryan McGowen enters the season tied for seventh all-time at St. Mary's in on-base percentage at .467. McGowen is tied with Randy Socha (1997-98). The Rattlers record is .507 by Jesse Gutierrez (2001).
