On Tap: St. Mary's heads back on the road for a rare Wednesday afternoon tilt at Texas-Tyler. The Patriots are looking for their first win of the year, while the Rattlers are searching for their second-straight win. The teams will turn around and head to San Antonio for a rematch on Saturday at 3 p.m.

Opponent Check-In: UT-Tyler is 0-6 in 2020-21 and had its last two games postponed due to Covid-19 protocols. The game Wednesday will be the first home contest for the Patriots since Jan. 9, when they lost 64-37 to St. Edward's. The only player averaging in double figures in scoring is Azaria Reed (10.5/game) and she's only played in two of the team's six games. Shala Robinson is averaging 6.0/game to lead players who've seen action in all six. Madison Davis paces the Patriots with 4.00 rebounds a contest.

Series History: Wednesday will be just the second meeting between UT-Tyler and St. Mary's. The Rattlers won the lone meeting a season ago, 81-53 in Tyler. In that game, the Rattlers sank a school-record 14 three-pointers, breaking the mark of 13 that had stood since 1999. The Blue & Gold also took a team-record 37 triples.

Last Time Out: A season-high 12 three-pointers and a balanced scoring attack lifted the Rattlers past the visiting Angelo State Rambelles, 69-52. Senior Hannah Wilson recorded the 20th double-double of her career with 16 points and 13 rebounds, while sophomore Briley Perkins also scored 16 and sophomore Natalia Ryng posted a career-high 14 off the strength of four triples. Senior Mya Culiver recorded half of the team's assists with a career-best nine.

Setting The Table: Senior Mya Culiver tallied a career-high nine assists on Saturday against Angelo State. Her total ties her for fourth on the St. Mary's single-game records with six others. She also had a career-best eight rebounds in the loss on Friday.

The Hot Hand: Both sophomores Briley Perkins and Natalia Ryng sank four three-pointers on Saturday as the team made a season-best 12. The dozen triples ties for the fifth-most in Rattlers history and is the most since they drained 14 at UT-Tyler on Nov. 23, 2019. The four by Ryng were the first of her career at St. Mary's, as she entered the game 0-for-11.
