Gonzalez and Popovic Grab Singles Wins Against No. 12 St. Edward's
SAN ANTONIO – The St. Mary's University Men's Tennis team lost 2-5 to No. 12 St. Edward's University on Saturday at Blossom NEISD Tennis Center, despite singles wins from
Bojan Popovic and
Jeremiah Gonzalez.
"We did not play at our normal doubles level, and that got us off to a slow start," said Director of Tennis
Bill Macom. "That gave St. Edward's too much momentum and they were able to close some singles quickly."
The Rattlers will stay in San Antonio next weekend for the San Antonio Intercollegiate Tennis Championships at the NISD Tennis Center Mar. 13-15.
