Four Reach Double Figures as Men's Basketball Falls to DBU

DALLAS – Four Rattlers scored in double figures this afternoon but it was not enough as the St. Mary's University Men's Basketball team fell to DBU, 81-76. Sophomore Caleb Jordan finished with a team-high 17 points in the Rattlers final regular season road contest.

Markques Houston finished with 14 points while Kobe Magee added 12. Dylan Isenhower was the fourth Rattler in double figures with 10 points.

St. Mary's won the battle on the glass, out-rebounding the Patriots, 34-25. The Rattlers shot 46 percent from the field but DBU scored 29 points off of 20 St. Mary's turnovers.

HOW IT HAPPENED
St. Mary's got off to a hot start as they lead for the first eight minutes of the game. The Rattlers gave up the lead with about eight minutes to play in the opening half but stayed within striking distance, never trailing by more than six points in the opening frame. DBU took a 38-33 advantage into the locker room.

A quick start by St. Mary's in the second half as Jordan and Isenhower scored on back-to-back possessions to cut the Rattler deficit to one but DBU went on a 14-0 run to take their largest lead of the game.

The Rattlers showed some fight as they battled back on multiple occasions to make it a one possession game. DBU managed to withstand the Rattlers comeback attempt and secure the season sweep over the Rattlers.
