Women's Golf Finishes 10th at DBU Women's Classic

SAN ANTONIO — St. Mary's Women's Golf finished in 10th place at the Dallas Baptist University Women's Classic on Tuesday at Wildhorse Golf Club in Denton.
Sofia Ruescas had the highest finish individually for the Rattlers in 17th, firing a 76 (+4) in the final round to give her a 226 total score for the tournament (+10).
Estelle Beck had the best score in the final round for St. Mary's, shooting a 73 (+1) en route to a tie for 25th place and a 229 (+13) total score.
Jordyn Wray was close behind in 29th with a 77 (+5) in the final round and a 230 (+14) overall.
Megan Sells rounded out the Rattler competitors in 57th place with an 83 (+11) in the final round and a 246 (+30). As a team, the Rattlers shot a 932 (+68) overall.
Several Lone Star Conference foes competed in the tournament, with DBU and West Texas A&M finishing in first and second place, Texas A&M-Commerce and Midwestern State tying for fourth, Oklahoma Christian in seventh, St. Edward's in eighth, UT-Tyler in 11th and Lubbock Christian in 13th.
The Rattlers will have a chance to improve at the National Preview on Oct. 14-15 in St. Albans, Missouri.
