Women's Golf Ties for 5th at Tarleton State Texans Invitational

SAN ANTONIO — St. Mary's Women's Golf tied for fifth place at the Texans Invitational hosted by Tarleton State on Tuesday.
Sofia Ruescas shot a 69 (-3) in the second and final round to put her in a 12th-place tie with teammate
Jordyn Wray with a 145 (+1) total score.
Haleigh Jordan shot a 148 (+4) to tie for 23rd and
Estelle Beck and
Megan Sells both fired a 156 (+12) total score to finish tied for 52nd.Â
The Rattlers had a combined team score of 588 (+12) to tie with Cameron University. Lone Star Conference foe Dallas Baptist University came in first place with a team score of 571 (-5), followed by other Lone Star teams Midwestern State in second, Texas A&M-Commerce in third and St. Edward's University in fourth. Other conference opponents included the host team, Tarleton State, in seventh, University of Texas at Tyler in ninth, Texas A&M-Kingsville in 10th, Angelo State University in 12th and Lubbock Christian University in 13th.Â
The Rattlers stay on the road for their next tournament in Denton at the the DBU Women's Classic on Sept. 23rd and 24th.
