DALLAS – Edu Toiny-Pendred netted two goals in the first half to help lead No. 19 St. Mary's University Men's Soccer team to its fifth consecutive victory, a 3-0 win over Dallas Baptist University on Thursday night.
St. Mary's improves to 8-2-1 on the year, their best 11 game start since joining the NCAA in 2000.
The Rattlers defeated DBU back on October 3 by a score of 3-2 in San Antonio, sweeping the season series for the third straight season.
Deni Cresto netted his second goal of the season as he scored an unassisted goal in the 19
th minute to get the scoring started for the Rattlers.
Gerard Roebuck got his first start of the year in net and turned in a blank sheet as he faced three shots from the Patriots.
Max De Leon and
Marlon Flores Flores each recorded an assist on the Toiny-Pendred goals.
The Rattlers will return to the pitch on Saturday as they take on UT Tyler in a non-conference contest. Kickoff is scheduled for 5 p.m.
