Road woes continue for Rattlers

KINGSVILLE, Texas — St. Mary's road trip continued with a doubleheader against Texas A&M-Kingsville on Friday.
 
The Rattlers fell to the Javelinas in both contests, dropping their third and fourth games in a row.
 
In Game 1, the Rattlers opened the day with a two-RBI double by Brenda Iparraguirre. A Taylor Germain double in the sixth accounted for the only other Rattler run as the Javelinas would strike for six runs between the second and fifth innings.
 
Germain would end the game with a 3-for-3 performance at the plate despite the loss.
 
The nightcap saw the Rattlers stall offensively as they were held to only three hits coming from Raynelle Nash, Marcela Vasquez and Germain.
 
Next Friday, the Rattlers end their road trip beginning next Friday against Newman.
