Marquez drops career-high, Rattlers advance in Heartland Championships

TULSA, Oklahoma — Kealani Marquez dropped a career-high in the opening round of the Heartland Conference Championships as the Rattlers defeated Rogers State 58-44 at the UMAC.
 
The senior helped pace the No. 3-seeded Rattlers to victory as she scored 19 points, five rebounds and three assists.
 
Heartland Conference Freshman of the Year Soteria Banks posted 16 points and grabbed six rebounds.
 
All-Conference First Team selection Arysia Porter added 13 points and three boards as the Rattlers advance to the semifinals for the second year in a row.
 
St. Mary's will face No. 2-seed UAFS at the UMAC on Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
