COMMERCE, Texas — St. Mary's Women's Basketball pushed its winning streak to four with a 62-51 victory over Texas A&M-Commerce on Tuesday.

Hannah Wilson had a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds, while Arysia Porter scored a game-high 14 points to help the Rattlers improve to 5-1 on the season.

Freshman Meredith Marcum chipped in a career-high 10 points and five rebounds off the bench in the victory.

St. Mary's opened up an 8-0 lead over A&M-Commerce (2-3) and an 11-2 lead following a Soteria Banks 3-pointer midway through the opening quarter.

The Lions climbed back to take an 18-17 lead early in the second quarter, but the Rattlers quickly regained the lead on a Wilson jumper and never looked back.

St. Mary's led 25-21 at the break, an advantage that swelled to a 43-32 advantage entering the fourth quarter.

The Rattlers' trademark stingy defense continued to flash throughout this game, limiting the Lions to 29-percent shooting (18 of 62) for the game. A&M-Commerce was 4 of 22 from 3-point range (18.2 percent) and committed 16 turnovers in the game.

St. Mary's will be back in action on Friday, when it takes on No. 1-ranked Central Missouri in the St. Mary's Thanksgiving Classic. The Rattlers' home opener will tip off at 5:30 p.m. at Bill Greehey Arena.
