Rattlers outlasted by Lady Chaps

LUBBOCK, Texas — In a much-anticipated showdown between the two of the teams in the Heartland Conference, St. Mary's fell to Lubbock Christian 3-1 on Saturday.
 
The closely contested contest saw two of the four sets played go beyond 25 points with the Lady Chaps taking the first set 26-24 and the third set 28-26.
 
Alissa Tolbert led the Rattlers with a match-high 17 kills while Bree Perry logged 28 assists. Monica Ramon tallied 32 digs as Jaycie Pluenneke and Rachel McDonald posted a four blocks apiece.
 
Off the bench, Haley Bradfute added 25 assists with Amanda Lake collecting 18 digs.
 
The Rattlers will close out the season next weekend with a pair of road matches, beginning with a meeting against DBU on Thursday at 7 p.m.
