WICHITA, Kansas — Victoria Villasenor deposited the deciding goal in the 84th minute against Newman on Thursday night, securing a 1-0 victory for the Rattlers.

Facing 23 shots from the Jets, goalkeeper Erin Longford recorded her third clean sheet of the season, producing a match-high eight saves including six in the second half.

Leah Whittaker and Serena Frank were the only other Rattlers to post a shot on goal as the Rattlers improve to 4-6-1 in Heartland Conference play.

Saturday, the Rattlers will look to gain ground in the Heartland standings against Rogers State in Claremore, Oklahoma.
