Snakes drop series finale to Chaps

SAN ANTONIO — The weather cleared up in time for the St. Mary's Rattlers to finish its weekend series against Lubbock Christian, falling to the Chaps 11-4 on Sunday afternoon at Dickson Stadium.
 
After conceding three runs in the top of the first inning, the Rattlers would respond with two runs of their own. But that would be as close as the game would get as the Chaps would outscore the Rattlers 8-2 the rest of the way.
 
Beau Barnes finished 2-for-3 at the plate with two runs and a walk as Jack Kaiser posted a pair of hits with two RBI.
 
Bryan Ramirez added an extra-base hit of his own with a pair of runs scored.
 
St. Mary's gets set to travel to Tarleton State for one last game on March 8 before conference play begins on March 10.
