Brooks’ record-setting performance leads Rattlers over Dustdevils

LAREDO, Texas — Skyler Brooks etched his name in the St. Mary's record book on Saturday as he drained seven three-pointers, tying the mark for most in a single game in program history.
 
The performance helped St. Mary's secure an 87-73 victory over Texas A&M International on Saturday afternoon.
 
Brooks scored 17 of his career-high 24 points in the first half, while also collecting 6 boards.
 
In control for most of the game, the Rattlers led by as many as 25 in the second half, with the Rattler bench, led by Brooks, outscoring the Dustdevils 41-28.
 
Petar Radojicic fell one rebound shy of a double-double as he finished with 12 points and nine rebounds while Will Ferguson poured in 14 points on 4-of-8 shooting from the field.
 
Freddie Williams contributed 13 points and two rebounds as DeMarco Enoch displayed an impressive all-around game with 12 points, six rebounds and six assists.
 
Next for the Rattlers will be a pair of non conference road games, beginning with an exhibition against Division I Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Dec. 15.
