Rattlers drop season finale to Hilltoppers

SAN ANTONIO — St. Mary's fell to St. Edward's 2-1 on Saturday at Sigma Beta Chi Field in the final match of the 2017 season.
 
The Rattlers responded to an early goal by the Hilltoppers with a goal courtesy of Alexia Maldonado who connected on a free kick from 30 yards in the 39th minute.
 
But it would be the Hilltoppers that would get the final word before the end of the half as they would score the final goal of the match.
 
St. Mary's ends the season with a 6-10-2 overall record with a 3-9-2 record in conference play.
