@StMUWBB finishes regular season in style

GOODWELL, Okla. — St. Mary's ended the 2015-16 season with a superb showing against Oklahoma Panhandle State in a 92-43 win Saturday afternoon at the Oscar Williams Field House.
 
Led by Arysia Porter and Kiara Etheridge, the Rattlers jumped out to a 42-21 lead at halftime.
 
Porter would finish with a game-high 18 points to go along with five rebounds and three steals as Etheridge filled the stat sheet with 17 points, six rebounds, four steals, two blocks and two assists.
 
The 3rd quarter saw the Rattlers pull away as they outscored the Aggies 31-9. In the second half, the Snakes shot an impressive 60 percent from the field while holding OPSU to just over 25 percent shooting.
 
Dezirae Elias and Labraile Fields each scored double-figures for the Rattlers. Elias finished with 10 points and five steals on an efficient 4-for-6 shooting from the floor. Fields added 14 points, five rebounds and 7 assists for the game as the St. Mary's offense was clicking on all cylinders.
 
Every Rattler that played scored in the victory, including nine points each from Ciaira Briseno and Haley Richter off the bench.
 
Senior Mariah Lee provided a strong outing with eight points, four rebounds and a steal on 4-of-6 shooting.
 
Next week, the Rattlers will begin postseason play when they travel to Tulsa, Okla. for the Heartland Conference Tournament.
