Men’s Soccer defeated in season finale

SAN ANTONIO — In the final match of the 2016 season, the St. Mary's Rattlers fell to the Texas A&M International 6-1 at Sigma Beta Chi Field on Saturday.
 
The Rattlers (5-10-2, 4-9-1) were faced with a three goal deficit before a goal from Pato Botello Faz put the Rattlers on the board. For Botello, the goal was his sixth of the season, the most on the team.
 
The Dustdevils, who outshot the Rattlers 24-13, would add three more goals, ending the Rattlers hopes of a postseason berth.
 
In his final match, senior Dan Johns posted five shots, three of which were on frame, while fellow senior Alex Gonzalez placed one shot of his own on goal.
 
Senior Jack Moore recorded seven saves in his final match, moving him to 86 total saves on the season, placing him third in the program's history for most saves in a single season.
