When the Hall calls: A look back at HOFer Roni (Garcia) Holmes

SAN ANTONIO — Earlier this month, St. Mary's University Athletics proudly introduced the 26th class into its Athletics Hall of Fame. The 2016 class was comprised of Oracio J. "O.J." Garza (Baseball; B.A. '01), Roni (Garcia) Holmes (Softball; B.A. '05), Kathren McCarty, D.P.M. (Volleyball; B.A. '97), Fernando N. Tadefa (Baseball; B.A. '05) and Billy Dell White Jr. (Basketball; B.A. '05).

Today, in Part 2 of a five-part series profiling the newest Hall of Fame inductees, we dive deeper into the career of Roni (Garcia) Holmes.

Here is a look back at Holmes' All-American softball career that included winning the 2002 NCAA Division II national championship:
