Winning hardware is nothing new to St. Mary's ace Carl O'Neal, who last season was named the National Pitcher of the Year by Daktronics. He looked like his old self in starting off the 2013 season, yielding no runs and striking out seven in 6 2/3 innings in a victory over Newman last weekend. O'Neal, who has won 18 straight decisions, was honored by the Heartland Conference as the league's Pitcher of the Week.
