Vianna Gutierrez Touchtone was named the MVP of the NFCA D-II Leadoff Classic after batting .667 with nine RBIs, two home runs and a whopping 1.444 slugging percentage. Gutierrez Touchtone, who had a slugging percentage of at least 1.000% in every game, led the Rattlers to the tournament championship, which included beating No. 1-ranked West Texas A&M. Her home run and three RBIs were instrumental in taking down the nation's top-ranked team. The stacked tournament featured the nation's No. 1, 3 and 4 ranked teams, two of whom the Rattlers defeated en route to starting the season 6-0.
