The St. Mary’s Cheerleaders attend camp during the summer to bond, improve technique, and learn new skills for the upcoming year. Teams in previous years have attended home camps at St. Mary’s University, National Cheerleading Association (NCA) camps, and Universal Cheerleaders Association (UCA) College Camp. St. Mary’s cheerleaders are expected to attend practices at St. Mary’s prior to camp dates.

In 2017, for the first time in six years, the St. Mary’s Cheerleaders attended the UCA/UDA College Camp at the University of Texas in Austin. They were evaluated each day on different performances and received three superior ribbons. On the final day of camp, they competed in the Game Day Championships taking third place in Band Dance as well as being named Most Improved Squad.
