DALLAS — St. Mary's University STUNT was well represented on the 2026 Lone Star Conference All-Conference and All-Academic teams, which were announced on Thursday evening at the annual pre-championship banquet.
Four seniors were honored on the All-Academic team in
Sanaa Johnson (Helotes, Texas),
Courtney McClellan (New Braunfels, Texas),
Sydnye Forde-Richins (Houston) and
Riley Smith (Canyon Lake, Texas). All four are repeat selections, and Johnson, Forde-Richins and Smith are three-time honorees on the prestigious team. Johnson is majoring in exercise & sport science, while Forde-Richins is a marketing major, McClellan is studying criminology, and Smith is pursuing a degree in forensic science.
Seven Rattlers (8-9, 6-2) were named to the All-Conference First and Second teams, with five on the First team and two on the Second team.
Senior
Alecka Brown (San Antonio) becomes a three-time selection to the All-Conference First-Team, while Johnson,
Talisa Gomez (El Paso, Texas), and
Izabella Grinnell (Pasco, Wash.) earn the honor for the second-straight season. Freshman tumbler
Melina De Hoyos (San Antonio) joins the upperclassmen group on the first team and is one of five freshmen tabbed to the 20-woman team.
McClellan is also a three-time All-Conference honoree for the Rattlers, as she was a First-Team pick in 2024 and was voted by the league's head coaches to the Second Team for the second-straight year.
Victoria Gutierrez (Laredo, Texas) joins McClellan on the Second Team and is being awarded by the league for the first time in her career.
DBU's Addison Hatfield, a senior flyer, was named the league's Athlete of the Year, while Giselle Juarez from St. Edward's and Emma Tomlin from DBU are the Co-Freshmen of the Year, and DBU wins the Coaching Staff of the Year after going undefeated in LSC play. Julia Cargill from DBU was named the Academic Athlete of the Year.
The Lone Star Conference Tournament gets underway on Friday, March 27, with a champion being crowned on Saturday afternoon.
