Emily Brittain was named the Most Valuable Player of the Heartland Conference Tournament after going 3-0 with two shutouts, including a one-hitter in a victory over Texas-Permian Basin. 

The Rattler Softball ace picked up her nation-leading 13th shutout during the tournament and earned victory No. 27, fourth-best in all of NCAA D-II.
