Mario Maldonado was named the Heartland Conference's Hitter of the Week after batting .545 with six hits and four RBIs last week. Leading the Rattlers with a .420 average this season, Maldonado had a whopping .818 slugging percentage last week to help the Rattlers go 4-0, including sweeping Oklahoma Panhandle State in Heartland Conference play.
