Cali Nims takes over as the interim head coach for the Volleyball team on Sept. 24, 2025. She was named the assistant coach three weeks prior and will handle the reins for the remainder of the 2025 campaign.

Nims was a two-time Lone Star All-Conference selection for the Rattlers, earning LSC Commissioner’s Honor Roll all eight semesters of her career. As a senior in 2024, Nims ranked third in the LSC and 19th nationally with 10.64 assists per set. She collected 16 double-doubles in her final year and broke the St. Mary’s single-season rally scoring record with her 10.64 assists per set.Â

She ended her stellar playing career with 2,695 assists – ranking fifth all-time at St. Mary’s – and finished ninth with 113 service aces and 17th with 988 digs. Nims was named to the 2022 Lone Star All-Tournament team and the 2021 LSC All-Freshman squad.Â

Nims graduated in 2025 with a bachelor’s degree in exercise and sport science, spending her last semester at Chaminade in Honolulu, a sister school to St. Mary’s. She was honored on the CSC Academic All-District team each of her final two years.Â
