Upon graduation from St. Mary's in 2022, Chad Nguyen moved to the sidelines as a volunteer coach and begins his third season in that role. Nguyen also serves as a health insurance specialist through United Health Care, specializing in customizing nationwide PPOs. He is also a private tennis coach in San Antonio.

Nguyen served as captain of the Rattlers team in 2022, posting a 12-9 record at number one singles. He graduated with an MBA, specializing in Data Analytics, after earning a bachelor's degree from Texas A&M-Corpus Christi in 2021 in finance & management.
