St. Mary's Chris Contreras had his best finish of the year, placing fifth at the SoCal Intercollegiate after shooting a six-over-par 222 to lead St. Mary's to third place as a team. He was awarded the Heartland Conference Men's Golfer of the Week honor. Contreras and the Rattlers led the field in the final round, tying for the best team score in the final round to soar up the boards from fifth place.
