All-American pitcher Rene Solis struck out 11 against UTPB, while walking none to earn Heartland Conference Pitcher of the Week honors. The road victory helped Solis pick up his second win on the season. Solis tossed eight innings for a 1.12 ERA against 29 at-bats.
