Volleyball Blocker; Basketball Post (1981-1985)
As a two-sport athlete at St. Mary’s, Sherry Market Camp set a precedent for excellence, both in athletics and in academics.
She was an All-Conference standout in volleyball, earning MVP honors at two tournaments and led the team to second place in conference her senior year. She also was Team Captain, leading the team to a fifth place national ranking in 1983.
In basketball, she was one of the nation’s top free-throw shooters, finishing eight in nation in free-throw percentage at 80 percent and led the team in rebounding her senior year.
She later played for various United States Volleyball Association teams.
She earned a degree in sociology with a minor in psychology, graduating manga cum laude. Market Camp returned to St. Mary’s for graduate school, and obtained a master of business administration in 1990.
