Cook was an honorable mention All-American for the Rattlers in 1984-85 after earning Big State Player of the Year honors. He was a two-time First-Team All-Big State Conference selection. He shot .618 from the field in his senior season (162-262), the best-ever during the NAIA era at St. Mary's. He also averaged 6.15 rebounds per game during his two years, a number that ranks 12th all-time in the school's NAIA records.
