BIO:
FERNANDO N. TADEFA’S versatility defined his championship tenure at St. Mary’s. Tadefa was a pitcher who also packed a punch at the plate, helping headline the Rattlers’ 2001 NCAA Division II national championship squad. He finished his time with the Rattlers ranked No. 2 in both strikeouts (349) and innings pitched (321), while also ranking fourth in career home runs (30) hit. He posted a career record of 33 wins and 15 losses on the mound, and finished with a career batting average of .340 at the plate. A two-time All-Heartland Conference selection, Tadefa went on to play two seasons in the minor leagues in the Atlanta Braves organization, where he racked up 21 saves with a 2.74 ERA. 

POST-GRADUATION:
Tadefa works in the oil and gas industry, managing logistics and field reporting (accounting) for BHP Billiton in West Texas.
